John, there are a million reasons why I support Shannon, but there’s one word that sums up why I’m supporting her: accountability.
Instead of using the criminal division to prosecute homeless people sleeping on vacant property, she will prosecute the corporations who use fraud and corruption to keep working people down.
I know she will use her office to go after fossil fuel corporations who pollute our environment and doctors who commit millions in Medicaid fraud and tech companies who defraud workers out of hard-earned wages.
Because she will use the criminal justice system to hold accountable those that do enormous damage, but are too often protected by their power and status in society and get away with a slap on the wrist.
She will help connect those who are acting out of desperation with the social services they need and pursue policies that will make real, material improvements in people’s lives.
That’s why I’m proud to be organizing for her to help get her to a win in September so she can get in office and start building a better future for Massachusetts.
