BY CRYSTAL LANDER and MARGOT FAHNESTOCK | Where we have tended to divide the United States artificially from the rest of the globe on issues of human rights, we can do so no longer. When Roe falls here, it will reverberate around the world. And as country after country laps us on the route to progress, that will reverberate here in turn.

Maybe in the wake of Roe’s demise, we will take inspiration from our global colleagues and muster, at long last, the collective resolve needed to craft a permanent legislative solution preserving the right to choose safe abortion.

BY CARRIE N. BAKER | One in three women and one in five men have experienced stealthing—the removing of a condom during sex without verbal consent from a partner. Representatives Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY.)., Norma J. Torres (D-Calif.) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) have introduced two bills: The Stealthing Act of 2022 would create a federal civil right of action for survivors of nonconsensual condom removal. The Consent is Key Act would encourage states to voluntarily pass laws authorizing civil damages for survivors of nonconsensual condom removal by increasing funding levels for federal domestic violence prevention programs in states that pass these laws.
