Friend, with Marco Rubio launching another round of attacks on my 27-year law enforcement career, I wanted to clarify some things for you:

I answered the call to serve in 1983 because I wanted to protect the community that I loved so dearly.

I rose through the ranks and became the FIRST woman EVER to serve as Orlando's chief of police. And while Marco Rubio was plotting his political career, the brave men and women of the Orlando Police Department, the community and I worked together to reduce violent crime by 40%.

I made the decision to run for Senate because I’m not done protecting and serving Florida’s families – but Marco Rubio and the GOP dark-money machine have thrown MILLIONS into ads spreading false information about my record.

With recent polls showing that I’m rapidly closing in on Rubio – the GOP is terrified that I will win this race. I can win – but I need to hit each of my fundraising goals to maintain my momentum.

Friend, some voters have only heard Marco Rubio’s lies about me, and I need more resources to share my story – or else this race won’t even be close. Will you PLEASE help me counter Rubio’s attacks and donate $5 or more before midnight tonight?
