Good morning,

I have fantastic news -- because so many of you chipped in, we hit our end-of-month goal for November and have already surpassed our goal for Giving Tuesday!

I'm so proud of our team, and what we've accomplished in 2019. If we keep up the work, I know we can end this year stronger than ever before and put us in the prime position to elect and train the next Black wave in 2020.

But that's not the only reason I'm emailing, yesterday was Rosa Parks Day. That's right, team, over 60 years ago activist and freedom fighter Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat and "sat down" for her rights on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama.

Rosa's decision to demand equity in a racist society sparked a movement that led to the Montgomery Bus Boycott and the end of segregated public transportation.

Today, I want us all to remember Rosa and the power each and every one of us has to create change in our society and demand more for our communities. Rosa didn't end segregation on her own -- she had the NAACP, activists, and hundreds of years of pent up resistance on her side.

And like Rosa, we aren't alone either. We have this team and the same unshakeable ambition: to build Black political power.

So, thank you for your support and for your activism. Together, we will win.
