Our nation turned our outrage into passionate calls to end gun violence following tragedies in Buffalo and Uvalde and, John, it made a difference:
The House just passed two packages of gun violence prevention policies that are sure to save lives. This action is long overdue, but we are glad to see our lawmakers listen to the call of the American people.
These packages include extreme risk protection order laws and policies that would increase the age limit on the purchase of certain firearms, prevent gun trafficking, ban the sale of large capacity magazines.
This is because you took action, friend, alongside hundreds of thousands of gun violence prevention activists who said enough.
