Hi friends,

We’re writing today with an urgent call to action: sign this petition today to tell U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to end their opposition to Juliana v. United States proceeding to trial!
Hosted by People vs. Fossil Fuels - a coalition of “hundreds of groups representing millions of people across the country fighting for climate, racial, and economic justice” - this petition is sponsored by over 215 leading organizations including climate, public health, children’s, legal, minority, business, faith, human rights, and environmental justice groups.

Here's Juliana v. U.S. youth plaintiff Isaac with a short video message
Why is this Petition Important?
Despite President Biden’s promises to listen to youth and address the climate crisis, his DOJ is still actively opposing the Juliana youth and their case, denying their rights and seeking to prevent the young plaintiffs from presenting evidence to a judge in open court of how their own government is causing them harm.

Now, as the youth await an imminent ruling on their motion to amend their case - a ruling which, if favorable, would put them back on the path to trial! - people around the world are demanding that Attorney General Merrick Garland and the DOJ end their opposition to this case proceeding to trial.

SIGN THE PETITION TODAY!
Take Action NOW!
For almost seven years, these 21 young Americans have waited for their day in court, delayed again and again by tactics employed by the DOJ to impede or dismiss their case. And for almost seven years, children like these 21 young Americans have suffered from increasingly severe climate harms.

The time for climate justice is now.

Sign the petition today and, in just a few minutes time, you can join thousands of individuals from across the United States and around the world who are demanding that Attorney General Garland and the DOJ end their opposition to Juliana v. United States proceeding to trial.

Then, help us spread the word by encouraging friends, family, and neighbors to sign the petition too. Yesterday, over 150 individual supporters and key international, national and local organizations rallied via a tweetstorm standing in solidarity with the youth plaintiffs and urging individuals to sign the petition. You can join the tweetstorm today!

SIGN AND SHARE THE PETITION TODAY!
Thank you for joining us in this urgent call to action. Together in the pursuit of climate justice for our children,
