Dear John,

Tonight America finally gets to see the culmination of the January 6th select committee’s investigative work. While leaks and reports have trickled out over the past several months, this is an opportunity for the committee to paint a clearer picture, and educate the public more fully about the timeline, events, and people involved in an attempted coup.

The supporters of the January 6th attack would very much like for Americans to tune out these hearings. As patriotic citizens concerned for the welfare and continuance of our democracy, we must watch.

Tonight’s hearing will begin at 8pm Eastern, and will be carried on every major television station other than Fox News, which refuses to expose its viewers to hard truths. Make sure you tune in, and encourage your friends and family to do so as well.

For a year and a half, Trump and his loyalists have been pushing more and more extreme conspiracy theories about January 6th and about the election which he lost. They have created a false narrative that is sadly taking hold. This is our chance to help spread the truth, and set the record straight about the most dangerous attack on American democracy in generations.

For America to continue to flourish, we must first and foremost protect the inalienable right to govern ourselves through elections. That includes not only the right to vote, but the right for those votes to be honored, even if our leaders don’t like the outcome. That’s what’s at stake with the January 6th committee.
