Dear John,
My name is David. I’m the new Director of Marketing and Communications for NVFS.
I recently relocated to Metro DC from Queens, NY. Yes, home of baseball’s New York Mets--of whom I’ve been a fan for 20 years.
Promptly upon my arrival, I watched the National League East rival Washington Nationals make a dramatic second half run to the playoffs, then play with dedication, heart, and great sportsmanship to win the World Series. I couldn’t help but like them, and was happy for my neighbors in all their excitement.
A few months after arriving, I joined the staff of NVFS – a group of people I discovered quickly also had dedication and heart. Three weeks into the job I learned that the Nats chose to partner with NVFS to support children and families in need in Northern Virginia. First, I celebrated the Nats World Series victory, now I was going to promote them and their generosity.
So, if a Mets fan can get behind the Nats and their commitment to the community, can you? If you make a donation right now, the Nats will match it dollar for dollar up to $ 25,000 <[link removed]>.
Let’s hit it out of the park and give kids and families something else to cheer about this winter: the support of their neighbors and an even stronger Northern Virginia Family Service.
Thank you!
With #Natitude,

P.S. Imagine if every time a Nat hit a single, it was automatically turned into a double? Give a gift of $ 25, $ 100, or even $ 500 by Tuesday, December 3, and that becomes $ 50, $ 200, or $ 1000! <[link removed]>
