We need to keep the pressure up on the Senate to take action on gun safety.

John–

This week, we're making it impossible for our lawmakers to ignore our country's gun violence crisis. We've been rallying on Capitol Hill, organizing school walkouts across the country, and flooding our U.S. senators with phone calls and written messages demanding action on gun safety.

In just a few weeks, our supporters have sent over 700,000 calls and messages to their U.S. senators to demand action on gun safety laws—and the Senate is discussing a plan to pass life-saving legislation as early as next week.

Help us show the power of the movement and keep the pressure up on the Senate: Share this video with your friends and encourage them to demand action in their community.

With gun violence being the leading cause of death for children and teens in this country, we need to make sure our lawmakers #DontLookAway from our gun violence crisis. That's why on Monday, Students Demand Action volunteers wore bulletproof vests while they rallied in front of the U.S. Capitol Building. They did it to underscore the measures families might have to take to keep kids safe if our senators continue to shirk their responsibility to protect us.

And sadly, this isn't too far off from our reality: Sales of bulletproof backpacks have been recently skyrocketing at retailers across the country.

We deserve more. And we need your help to demand it.

Thank you for being a part of this movement. Together, we can build a future free from gun violence.
