The Texas AFL-CIO has launched a new podcast called the Lone Star Labor Pod! President Rick Levy and Digital Organizer Madison White host a weekly episode with guest interviews, giveaways/contests, and updates on the Texas labor movement.

This week’s episode featured Alejandra Lopez, President of the San Antonio Alliance, discussing the challenges educators face in Texas and how the tragedy in Uvalde affects us all.

Texas AFT just released new data showing that what happened in Uvalde will impact 42% of members’ decision of whether or not to return to the classroom in the fall. In a time of compounding crises, listening to and amplifying the voices of our teachers is more important than ever. Be sure to tune into Alejandra’s interview!
