Friend,

A few weeks ago, Jon reached out asking for your help getting his bipartisan agriculture consolidation bills across the finish line.

For years, big corporations have dominated the agricultural market in this country. They’ve put family farmers and ranchers out of business, increased meat prices at the grocery store, and jeopardized our nation’s food security.

Jon’s bills aim to curb these consolidation practices and have bipartisan support — but now he’s looking to show his colleagues in the Senate how popular these pieces of legislation are with folks like you. You can show your support by adding your name now to become a citizen co-sponsor of these bills. [[link removed]]

Subject: It’s time to hold big ag accountable

Folks,

It’s beyond time that the Senate steps up to protect small farmers and ranchers in rural America. I’m currently working on getting two bipartisan bills through the Senate that supports family farmers and combats high food prices by tackling consolidation in the agriculture industry — and I’m asking you to sign on as a citizen co-sponsor.

As the only working farmer in the U.S. Senate, this is an issue that affects me personally — but it also affects folks like me across the country who want to pass the family farm down to their kids, but are burdened by rising prices because of a lack of fair competition.

And it’s not just farmers, either. Across the country, hard-working Americans are feeling the effects of consolidation in the agriculture industry every time they visit the grocery store. At a time when millions of Americans are facing food insecurity, rising meat costs can be the difference between getting food on the table at the end of the night or going to sleep hungry.

This isn’t the way our economy is supposed to work, and passing these two bipartisan bills is a good first step to make life easier for millions of folks across the country.

If you’re with me in my efforts to protect small businesses and American consumers from unfair consolidation, please sign on to become a citizen co-sponsor of my agriculture consolidation bills. [[link removed]]

Thanks for your help. I appreciate you.
