Gun violence is an out-of-control epidemic in this country. From Buffalo to Uvalde to Philadelphia, mass shootings happen in the U.S. all too regularly, and my heart goes out to all those affected by gun violence.
It is time we turn decades of thoughts and prayers into real change.
Delaware Democrats are already springing into action. In the final weeks of the legislative session, our Democratic leaders have announced plans to pass major gun reform, including banning the sale of assault weapons, limiting high-capacity magazines, and increasing the purchasing age for most firearms.
I am grateful that Delaware Democrats are unwavering in their commitment to ending our country’s gun violence crisis. But– they cannot make the progress our country needs all by themselves. They are counting on us to grow and strengthen our Democratic majorities in November to support efforts to pass gun safety measures.
