BREAKING: CALIFORNIA FAST-FOOD WORKERS ON STRIKE! SHOW YOU'RE WITH US >>
[link removed]

John,

I've worked at McDonald's for over 15 years. When I faced sexual harassment in the workplace, I reported it to HR. Instead of helping me, they cut my hours in retaliation.

My story isn't unique. Fast-food workers like me regularly face unsafe workplaces and threats like sexual harassment and violence. On top of that, our bosses regularly steal our wages: here in California, 85 percent of fast-food workers surveyed reported having wages stolen.

Corporations will continue to mistreat workers and put us in harm's way unless we hold them accountable. That's why California needs AB 257, aka the FAST Recovery Act. We have the opportunity to rewrite the rules for fast-food workers and provide a model for other states. This is urgent and important legislation, and we need Governor Newsom to feel the heat from across the country. Show your solidarity with striking workers: tell Governor Newsom to give us a say in making our jobs better!

The FAST Recovery Act would improve working conditions for California's 550,000+ fast-food workers by giving us a seat at the table to set standards that make our workplaces better and wages more fair. We'll be able to hold fast-food corporations accountable for issues like unsafe working conditions, wage theft, and more.

California can be a national leader in fast-food labor standards. It's time for Governor Newsom to support fast-food workers. Are you with us? Sign the petition now >>
