A new article in The Economist looks at how injustice flourished around the world during the COVID-19 pandemic—and how new approaches can help turn the tide, as featured at the World Justice Forum. The Economist spotlights how our WJP Rule of Law Index is helping inspire reform efforts, and how grassroots changemakers—like our World Justice Challenge finalists and Rule of Law Award winner Rede Wayuri from the Brazilian Amazon—are effectively tackling issues amidst a “concurrent pandemic” of disinformation.

More than 1200 participants from 116 countries came together for the World Justice Forum last week to learn, develop new collaborations, and take action. During the closing plenary, World Justice Project Executive Director Elizabeth Andersen outlined the Forum’s final statement, explaining how Forum participants are committed to driving the week’s work forward—by fighting corruption, expanding access to justice, and championing equal rights.
