Brooklyn Man Sentenced to 15 Years for Funding ISIS

  • Dilkhayot Kasimov, 34, a citizen of Uzbekistan living in Brooklyn, N.Y., was sentenced to 15 years in prison for conspiring to and attempting to provide material support to ISIS.

  • Kasimov was convicted in 2019 after he gave money to co-conspirators seeking to travel to Syria to fight on behalf of the terrorist organization.

  • Two of Kasimov’s co-conspirators were sentenced to 15 years in prison, and a third co-conspirator was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison.  Read More

Kansas Woman Pleads Guilty to Leading All-Female ISIS Battalion

  • Allison Fluke-Ekren, 42, from Kansas, pled guilty to leading an all-female military battalion on behalf of ISIS.

  • Fluke-Ekren, who has multiple aliases, traveled to Syria and has been involved with a number of terrorism-related activities on behalf of ISIS from at least 2014, including planning and recruiting operatives for a potential future attack on a college campus inside the U.S.

  • Fluke-Ekren faces up to 20 years in prison.  Read More

Boogaloo Boi Sentenced for Conspiring to Support Hamas

  • Benjamin Ryan Teeter, 24, of Hampstead, N.C., was sentenced to 48 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for conspiring to provide material support to the terrorist organization Hamas.
  • Teeter and a co-defendant Michael Robert Solomon, 32, were members of the anti-government Boogaloo Bois militia movement and a sub-group called the “Boojahideen.”   Read More

Boogaloo Boi Sentenced for Murder

  • Steven Carrillo, 34, of Ben Lomond, Calif. was sentenced to 41 years in prison for the killing of Homeland Security contractor David Patrick Underwood.
  • Underwood was shot and killed in May 2020 while guarding a federal building and courthouse in Oakland during protests over the police killing of George Floyd.
  • Carrillo has been linked to the anti-government Boogaloo Boi militia movement, espousing the Boogaloo movement ideology online for months leading up to the attack.  Read More

George Floyd Riot Arsonists Plead Guilty to Lighter Charges

  • Two New York lawyers, Urooj Rahman, 33, and Colinford Mattis, 34, pleaded guilty to new charges as part of a deal in which prosecutors recommended shorter sentences.
  • Rahman and Mattis were charged for throwing a Molotov cocktail at a New York City police car during protests over George Floyd's death in May 2020 and faced up to 45 years in prison.
  • Under the revised agreements, the prosecutors recommended sentences of just 18 to 24 months. 
  • Some have charged that the lighter sentences reflect a Justice Department policy that comes down harder on right-wing  extremists such as the Capital Hill rioters than on left-wing extremists, such as these.  Read More
