We've come far, but we still have far to go
Dear Friend,
It's our 82nd anniversary and we're thrilled to be
celebrating with you. Let's reflect on some of what the American
Diabetes Association® has accomplished in the last year:
Research: This month, we welcomed diabetes professionals from around
the world to the 82nd Scientific Sessions. Even though the meeting
featured groundbreaking research, many sessions focused on social
determinants of health to shed light on health inequities across
certain groups of people, allowing us to better treat and serve them.
Programming: Every year, nearly 6,000 kids and their families come
together to share a week of summer fun, making memories that last a
lifetime and socializing with other kids their age who are going
through the same experience as them. Joining in on the fun were their
families and camp counselors who taught them how to manage their
diabetes independently, how to stay active, and how to eat healthily.
You made all this possible and we're relying on you to keep
this train rolling. Right now, when you make a tax-deductible donation
to the ADA, you will help make this important work possible.
