A functioning, reliable Postal Service is essential for millions of Americans who use mail to pay their bills, receive life-saving medication, and even cast a ballot. Yet, the Trump-appointed Republican mega donor Postmaster General, Louis DeJoy, has consistently made decisions for years that have hurt the USPS.

Higher postage rates. Slower mail. Post Office closures. These changes impact us all, but make no mistake, rural and Native communities will suffer the most from these decisions.

Louis DeJoy’s mistakes make him clearly unfit to serve this role, which is why I’ve called for him to be fired immediately, but the only body that can force his resignation is the USPS Board of Governors.
