Recently, the Mayor adopted my plan to address Philadelphia’s policing shortage by waiving the residency requirement, and I’ve advanced legislation to boost police recruitment through hiring bonuses.
Another important issue I have prioritized is fixing our public school’s crumbling infrastructure. Recently, my legislation to establish new asbestos inspection requirements passed.
I am committed to moving us forward and building a Philadelphia that works for each and every one of us. With the Philadelphia City Council’s spring session concluding on June 23rd, hearing about your policy priorities is an important step in working together to make this a reality.
