Sometimes people ask me if I’m ready for this campaign.

They hear the hateful rhetoric coming from the other side – attacking women, attacking LGBTQ people, attacking science, facts, and the very decency and integrity of our people.

I tell them the truth – I was raised by a veteran who never bowed to bullies and by a teacher who taught me to say what I mean and mean what I say. I was raised to be brave and to fight for what’s right. And I’ve got a backbone of steel.

I took the fight to domestic abusers. To powerful drug companies. To corrupt Wall Street bankers. And to Paul LePage.

And I won.

I have never backed down from a fight, and you can be sure that I am not about to now. But I need you because I am only so strong as the people who stand with me.
