J Street

Friends,

Benji from J Street’s advocacy team here.

I wanted to say thank you to everyone for helping encourage Members of Congress to sign two important congressional letters urging the Biden administration to show stronger leadership, deter further demolitions and settlement expansion, and stand up for a just, democratic vision for Israel.

Thanks to your support, 80 members of the House signed the Price-Lee-Wexton-Castro letter pressing for stronger leadership to prevent the worsening of the conflict, and 83 members of the House and Senate signed the bicameral Merkley-Stansbury letter pushing for action to deter Israeli government demolitions in Masafer Yatta -- potentially the largest mass displacement of Palestinians in decades.

You can check whether your Senators or Representatives signed each letter here and here.

Headlines about the letters from a range of outlets

This moment demands conviction and clarity -- and thanks to your advocacy, a record-breaking group of lawmakers have stepped up and issued this call for action.

In Washington and in districts across the country, our advocacy teams are continuing to press for real, meaningful action in Congress and clear leadership from the White House to promote peace, security, justice and human rights for both peoples.

If you have capacity, please consider a contribution to sustain that work. Every donation fuels our progress and amplifies our message >>
