We can’t let radical gender ideologues legally erase biological sex.

Two weeks ago, I introduced a bicameral resolution that I am calling the Women’s Bill of Rights.

Like you, I am concerned that radical progressives are chipping away at the idea of biological sex, undermining equal opportunity, privacy, and safety for American women.

This is not hyperbole. Already, we’ve seen female athletes lose out to males who identify as women.

Worse, we’ve seen some incarcerated males use new loopholes to enter female prisons and abuse female prisoners.

We cannot allow this to continue. It’s wrong, and it’s anti-woman.

The Women’s Bill of Rights seeks to strengthen anti-discrimination law by defining basic terms, such as “woman,” “female,” and “mother.” And it recognizes the importance of certain single-sex spaces, such as domestic violence shelters, lockerooms, sororities, and athletic teams. None of this would have been possible without Independent Women’s Voice, which brought together thoughtful leaders from both the Right and the Left to develop this basic declaration on the biology of sex.

This tremendously important work is necessary for the good of our country and for the future of our daughters.
