My name is Deb VanderGaast. I’m a mom, a registered nurse, and the director of a child care center for children with special needs. And after yesterday’s Primary Election, I am so proud to officially be the Democratic candidate for Iowa Senate District 41.

As a first-time candidate running to make Iowa a better place to live, I can tell you firsthand that the Senate Majority Fund is providing crucial support to races like mine. While the primary election is complete, we are now taking on a well-funded Republican opponent.
