You may not know this, but the overwhelming majority of contributions to our campaign come from messages like this one. I’ll be the first to admit, these emails can get annoying, but they’re a critical part of the work we’re doing to defeat Ron Johnson in Wisconsin.

Something strange has happened though... My campaign staff says our fundraising has taken a turn over the past week. Fewer people are opening these messages and even fewer are pitching in lately. As a result, we are tracking about 19% behind on our end-of-quarter goal, which has created a significant gap in our budget.

The GOP has more than $200 million to take back the Senate majority, and they’ve already started flooding money into our race — $15 million from Mitch McConnell’s super PAC and $9 million from the National Republican Senatorial Committee in the last few weeks alone.

Political experts consider Ron Johnson the most vulnerable GOP Senator on the books and the latest head-to-head poll shows I'm the only Democrat beating him. We have a real shot at flipping this seat and expanding our Senate majority — but we need to keep up with the GOP’s spending in order to win this race.
