The senseless gun violence across our country is taking the lives of far too many, team.

It's not just Uvalde, Buffalo, and Tulsa. At least 13 people were killed and dozens were injured in multiple mass shootings this past weekend.

Like many of you, I reject the notion that we are powerless in the fight to pass common-sense gun-safety legislation. Americans want Congress to rise to this moment – we need to act now.

I joined my colleagues in the House to take on gun violence when we passed a bipartisan background checks bill that would close major loopholes in our current gun laws, expand background checks, and prevent more tragedies like the ones we've experienced over the past few weeks. But the Senate MUST ACT.

Team– enough is enough. We can't continue to allow Congress to turn its back on those who were slaughtered – not when we can do something about it. Over 90% of Americans support common-sense background checks, but NRA-aligned Republicans in the Senate have blocked critical reform for too long.

We can't afford to wait any longer for meaningful change that would protect the lives of countless Americans. Join me in demanding Congress take action by passing gun safety legislation NOW by adding your name to the petition >> [link removed]

Thanks for joining me in this fight,
