The January 6 hearings start tomorrow, which we are all hoping will serve justice to one of the worst offenses in American history when a violent mob stormed the Capitol last January, brainwashed by far-right disinformation in an attempt to overturn the election and destroy our democracy. Brad’s opponent was one of those people.
We cannot let his opponent win this election and sit in Congress, the very place he tried to take by violence just last year. Do you think a Capitol insurrectionist should be allowed a seat in Congress? →
Derrick Van Orden attempted to undermine the very principles our democracy was built on – free, fair elections and the peaceful transfer of power. These principles have kept our democracy strong while other countries’ democracies have fallen. If we let people like Brad’s opponent into Congress, we put everything we stand for as Americans at risk.
We cannot allow a Trump-backed extremist like Derrick Van Orden to represent us.
