Happy Pride, y’all! I hope you’re finding some joy and celebration so far this month. But if you’re having a hard time, you’re not the only one.
Our trans community is facing so many challenges right now. From Indiana to Texas to Alabama, conservative lawmakers are attacking trans people just for living our lives. And all too often, bigotry tries to make its targets feel alone. But they won't succeed – because we’re going to connect and empower trans people and our allies across the nation.
You can join our movement today. Join Team NCTE for #GiveOUTDay and help us reach our goal to recruit 100 fundraisers!
You can start your own fundraising page and ask your friends, family, and colleagues to make a gift in support of trans rights + organizing. Then, invite them to make their own pages!
We’re having a friendly competition with other LGBTQ organizations to see who can recruit the most fundraisers. If we win, we’ll get a $10k grant from the Horizons Foundation, which is the first community foundation by, of, and for LGBTQ people! So every person you invite to make their own page and help support trans rights gets us one step closer to the funding that makes our work possible.
