Yesterday, you received an email from Matthew Diemer, the Democratic nominee to take on Max Miller in the Ohio 7th congressional election this November. He explained why he’s running for Congress and his plan to uplift our district. My name is Lucian Knock, and I’m one of Matthew’s campaign advisors. Today, I want to take a moment to explain why I’m so passionate about Matthew’s candidacy. 

The unique thing about Matthew is that he genuinely wants to unite. In these divided times what America needs most right now is unity, and I know that Matthew can bring a uniting spirit to the community of Ohio’s 7th. Many politicians talk a big game about bipartisanship when running but ultimately don’t follow through when they’re elected. Matthew's the very first candidate I’ve worked with who authentically works to bring people together.

Matthew is running as a Democrat in a historic Republican stronghold, but his natural instinct to unite instead of divide is winning him supporters of all political persuasions. I’ve found that he never needs any kind of political “coaching” because so many Ohioans are naturally attracted to his message.

I know that Matthew Diemer is uniquely special because he consistently strives to bring us together. If you watch any news you’ll see that unity is a really hard thing to come by in America today. Any opportunity to vote for a candidate that will work together with the other side is worth pursuing.
