Tomorrow night, our team will close the books on our fundraising so far this quarter and get started compiling a report to send to the Federal Election Commission. Shortly after, that report will be made public for everyone from Illinois voters to our right-wing opponents and the GOP to see.

That’s why my campaign and I have set an ambitious goal for tomorrow’s deadline — and it’s really important that we reach it. This report will be the last snapshot voters will have of our campaign’s finances before they head to the polls on Primary Election Day in just three weeks. And there’s not a doubt in my mind that national Republicans will keep a close eye on this report, too.

Coming up short of our goal could give them the impression that our team isn’t prepared to protect this seat against our right-wing opponents and the attacks could start raining in on our campaign.
