We’re getting closer to the election and our next quarterly deadline, so it’s important that we raise as much as we can to grow our movement. But before I ask you to contribute to our movement today, I wanted to share three reasons why this election is so important:

1. This is a crucial seat to flip if we want to hold onto the Democratic majority in Congress. Super PACs are pouring money into Republican campaigns, so we need to do all we can to hold them accountable and fight back. President Biden won this district by 1.5% in 2020, so we have a real shot at flipping this seat.
2. Representation matters. Arizona has never had a Black member of Congress, but we have the opportunity to change that this year. If elected, I would be the first Black member of Congress from Arizona, and I would be honored to represent my community in such a monumental way.
3. So many critical issues are on the line. I’m ready to fight for the things that matter, like lowering healthcare costs, increasing investments in our education system, and passing legislation to combat climate change.
