Friend,

By the end of the month, we’re expecting the U.S. Supreme Court to issue several opinions that are critically important to the future of religious freedom in America. These decisions will join a string of recent SCOTUS cases in which the court has chipped away at church-state separation.

Join me on Monday afternoon for a virtual discussion about the impact the court has had and a broader look at the past, present and future of the separation between religion and government.

“SCOTUS: Where Will the Wall of Separation of Church and State Be?”

This webinar is presented by Encore Learning and the Arlington, Va., Public Library, and it’s free and open to the public.

I’ll be sharing a brief overview of church-state history in America, how the Supreme Court is applying the concept today and thoughts on what sort of church-state relationship is best for an America that is undergoing significant changes when it comes to how people experience spirituality.

For those who don’t know me, I’ve worked at Americans United for nearly 35 years and have authored four books on church-state relations. I edit our monthly magazine, Church & State.
