Let’s be clear: The choice before us in this race is simple.

It’s not about ideology – it’s about who is okay with guns streaming into our communities, who is okay with people being afraid to go to the grocery store, kids being terrified to go to school, or to a movie theater. It’s about who is okay with women being told they’re not allowed to make decisions about their own health care.

We deserve so much more.

Staten Island and South Brooklyn voters will have to decide between Nicole Malliotakis, someone who has done everything she can to undermine our most basic rights, and a leader like Max, who will fight like hell to protect our fundamental freedoms and build the America we all know is possible.
