John,
Our nation’s outrage is being heard: Tomorrow, the House will hold a hearing on the urgent need to address gun violence and ban weapons of war.
Gun violence survivors will find the courage, as so many have before them, to tell their story to the nation and beg our lawmakers to finally take action. We’ll hear a mother of a survivor of the Buffalo, NY shooting who was shot in the neck; The parents of a 10 year old killed in Uvalde, TX; And the fourth grader who survived the shooting in Uvalde by smearing herself with her classmate’s blood.
Tragedies in Buffalo and Uvalde are unimaginable and these people have lived through them. And they were made more deadly by assault weapons. They’re specifically designed to kill as many people as possible, as quickly as possible and it’s why the gunmen in Buffalo, Uvalde, Charleston, Newtown, Aurora… used one.
