I got into this race to make Maryland a better place for all of us, friend. As a former teacher, principal, and U.S. Secretary of Education, I know that when communities rally around a common cause like safer schools or environmental justice we see real, lasting change. I’m running to ensure that every community has equal opportunity, no matter their zip code. But I can’t make my vision for Maryland a reality without your support. I’ve experienced firsthand the life-changing impact public institutions can have. Now, I’m running for governor because all Marylanders deserve the same kind of support from our public institutions. Marylanders deserve a state leader who actually follows through and fights for them to have the support and resources they need not just to survive and get by, but to thrive and reach their full potential.
