Happy Pride Month, folks!

Pride Month is a time to honor and celebrate the achievements of the LGBTQ+ community, and to recognize that we still have lots of work ahead of us to achieve full equality for all people — including transgender and non-binary folks.

We must remember that Pride began as a protest. Led by Sylvia Rivera and Marsha P. Johnson, the Stonewall riots demanded an end to police brutality and a more equitable world for LGBTQ+ people.

Folks, the best way to honor Pride month is by taking action. Will you sign our petition demanding that the Senate pass the Equality Act to ban discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity?

This year, Pride month comes at a time when Republican state legislatures across the country continue to attack transgender people and strip them of their rights — especially the rights of trans youth.

We simply cannot allow anti-LGBTQ+ hate to fester — not on our watch.

So folks, please join me in honoring Pride month by adding your name next to mine to demand that the Senate pass the Equality Act and safeguard the rights of LGBTQ+ people across the country.

We will never stop fighting for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. Thank you for raising your voice alongside us.
