John,

As governor, one of Andy's top priorities has been ensuring our economy works for every Kentuckian. That's why, last week, Andy filed an emergency regulation to freeze the state gas tax increase.

Andy knows that Kentuckians cannot afford to pay more, and he's committed to doing everything he can to help keep more dollars in people’s pockets – especially with inflation and the rising costs for Kentucky families.

This emergency regulation is just the latest action Andy's taken to ensure every Kentuckian can afford to put food on the table. Here's a look at what else he's accomplished during the last two years:

✅ Led Kentucky through its best economic year on record,
✅ Helped bring hundreds of new projects creating more than 33,000 (and counting!) new jobs for Kentuckians,
✅ Saw a record-breaking $11.2 billion of private sector investments in 2021,
✅ Stopped an increase to vehicle property taxes through executive order,
✅ And proposed a reduction in the sales tax that the legislature didn’t act on

Andy's already accomplished so much to help grow our economy, and he's just getting started. He will continue to work every day to create good-paying jobs and ensure that Kentucky is a place where all can live and thrive.

Grateful to have you with us,

Team Beshear

Andy is fighting to make the Bluegrass State the best place it can be for generations to come, and he needs you on board. Will you chip in today to Andy's re-election campaign?
