It seems like every day, North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson is making headlines for offensive comment after offensive comment clearly aimed at dividing folks in our state.

Here’s the latest:

“NC's lieutenant governor: 'We are called to be led by men,' not women” —WRAL

These remarks are hurtful and wrong. But unfortunately, they’re not surprising. Lt. Governor Robinson consistently disrespects women, and he’s an extreme opponent of reproductive rights.

Robinson has said that once a woman becomes pregnant, “it’s not [her] body anymore.” He’s called liberalism “the number one argument FOR abortion.” He’s compared feminism to racism and implied that it is the work of the devil.

Let’s be clear: These are not the words of someone fit to lead our state. 

North Carolinians deserve better than this. With the fate of Roe v. Wade in jeopardy, Josh is doing everything he can to protect women’s reproductive freedoms. He is fighting for all North Carolinians — and we just can’t say the same about Lt. Governor Robinson.
