Friend,
My friend John King’s campaign has a major public fundraising deadline TONIGHT, so I’m reaching out today to ask if you’ll consider making a donation to his campaign. But first, I want to share why he deserves your support to become Maryland’s first Black governor.
Now more than ever, we need bold, progressive leaders like John in statewide office to transform public institutions into forces for good that make people’s lives better. As a kid whose life was literally saved by public schools, John brings an incredibly important perspective to the decision-making table because he knows exactly what’s at stake when folks don’t have the resources they need to succeed.
The stakes couldn’t be higher for this race. Education, economic dignity, and health care are all on the ballot this year, and there’s no one better prepared to win — and lead — on these issues than John. But it’s going to require a lot of grassroots support, and John’s biggest fundraising deadline of this campaign is TONIGHT.
I’ve always liked to say: “We can pray for it to change, but we also have to work for it.” My friend John exemplifies this to the tee. He is running to lead a state where his great-grandfather was formerly enslaved and to make history as Maryland’s first Black governor. And this deadline is a chance for his campaign to show that his story and message for a more equitable state are resonating with Marylanders and that he has what it takes to win.
Please make a donation before the deadline to ensure that John and his team have the resources they need to show up strong for this public deadline and win this race.
This upcoming fundraising deadline is a chance for his campaign to show that his story and message are really resonating with Marylanders and that he has what it takes to win. Please consider contributing $25, $10, or even $5 to support John’s campaign today.
With so much on the line, the time to act is right now. Pitch in today!
Thank you,
