Dear Friend,
I recently spoke with a woman in her 60s from her bed in a hospital trauma ward in Ukraine. She’d been shot while walking with her hands up. As she told her story, I teared up. She wiped her own tears, held my hand and said, “Thank you very much.” I wanted to hug her, but with all the equipment, I could only squeeze her hand and smile.
During my time in Ukraine, I met many survivors like that woman and the dedicated health professionals working night and day to care for them. And I returned home even more determined to help.
To help the most people possible — people like the woman I met in Ukraine — Project HOPE needs you, your compassion and your generosity. Please make your contribution to our Time for HOPE Matching Gift Challenge. Through June 15, every $1 you donate becomes $2 and doubles your impact.
