I’m a lifelong Democrat, a longstanding Wisconsin public servant, and a proud State Senator. My family has lived in La Crosse County for generations. This district runs in my blood and it would be my greatest honor to serve WI-03 in Congress.

This week, with the January 6 hearing being broadcast, I keep thinking about the stakes of this race and everything that’s on the line. Roe v. Wade, Obergefell v. Hodges, and so many other important Supreme Court cases could be overturned.

We need to keep pace to protect this battleground seat. Running against a Capitol insurrectionist who’s part of an extreme Republican faction tends to keep things real for all of us. Not only did he participate in the January 6 uprising, he then lied about it.
