Canada will decriminalize small amounts of drug possessions in British Columbia to reduce deaths from overdoses.
As a part of a three-year experimental harm reduction policy, individuals 18 years or older found with 2.5 grams or less of illicit drugs including opioids, cocaine, methamphetamine, or MDMA will no longer face criminal charges or have their drugs seized.
