How can we improve mental health services and supports for 2SLGBTQI people in Canada?

We have exciting news: Egale Canada’s research team recently launched an online, nationwide survey as one of the key activities for its Queering Mental Health Supports in Canada project. This survey is open to 2SLGBTQI individuals from across Canada and is focused on identifying the impact the COVID-19 pandemic on various factors which influence mental health, learning about the strategies people are using to protect and maintain their mental health and well-being, and determining how we can improve mental health services and supports for 2SLGBTQI people. Participants will have the option to enter a draw for one of ten $200 gift cards.

We are looking for participants who:

  • are 2SLGBTQI and/or are a mental health service provider
  • live in Canada
  • are 16 years of age or older

We encourage you to share your views on how we can address critical gaps in 2SLGBTQI mental health care during the pandemic and in the future by completing this survey, available in English and French.

We are also hosting virtual focus groups to discuss these issues in more detail. All focus group participants will receive a $50 honorarium.

If you are a 2SLGBTQI individual seeking services, please sign up for one of our virtual focus groups.

If you are a service provider, please sign up for one of our virtual focus groups.
