Maine’s primary elections are on June 14th, exactly one week from today. Just like in 2018 and in 2020, Jared is committed to running a transparent operation. So as Jared’s campaign manager, I wanted to take a moment and give you an inside look into our game plan for the general election.

I. Share Jared’s Message And Have More 1-on-1 Conversations With Undecided Voters
We’re finalizing our paid communications budgets to reach key Maine voters on TV and radio and through direct mail and digital ads. We’re also hiring additional staff to knock on doors, make phone calls, send text messages, write postcards, and more.
II. Push Back Against Attacks From Kevin McCarthy And The GOP Establishment
Outside groups are spending more against Jared than ever before – over $2.5 million so far. He’s one of the GOP establishment’s top targets to beat in November, and we recently got word that a dark-money GOP super PAC has plans to spend another $2.74 million to run misleading attack ads in our district this fall. We need to start running ads of our own to share Jared’s positive message before Mainers are inundated with attacks from the other side.
III. Stay Focused On The Issues That Matter To Maine Families
Whether it’s pushing back against the misguided federal legislation that affects Maine’s lobstermen or protecting jobs at Bath Iron Works, Jared always prioritizes the working families of Maine’s Second District. He’ll work with anyone – Democrat, Republican, or Independent – to bring results back to our district.
IV. Continue Running A Transparent Campaign
We at Team Golden work hard to be as transparent as possible with our supporters about our priorities and our funding. We really mean it when we say we’re powered by grassroots supporters like you, not corporate PACs. If every campaign were the same way, it’d go a long way in alleviating some of the threats that have strained our democracy in recent years.
