John, it’s
primary day! California has a “jungle primary” system, which means the top
two vote getters, regardless of party, land on the ballot for the general
election in November.

Katie is the only Democrat running here in CA-47, but there are four
Republicans in the race. We’ve already been knocking doors, running
digital ads, and reaching out to voters to make sure they vote for Katie
in today’s primary so that she is on November’s ballot, and to lay the
foundation for a win in November.

We expect Katie to take one of these top two spots and we’ll soon know
which Republican she’ll be running against.

Without even knowing who the Republican nominee will be, a Republican
super PAC has already pledged more than $1.5 million worth of TV attack
ads—and they say this is just the beginning.
