Our urgent need to stand together. Dear John, It’s no coincidence that Ms. Foundation for women became official in 1973—the same year Roe v. Wade guaranteed women a right to abortion in our country. We were there for that victory and we are still here—with you—in this devastating moment. The decision to eliminate the protections of Roe comes at a time when our world feels more unsafe and more uncertain every day. But the Ms. Foundation is still here. As our founding mother, Gloria Steinem, said, “Hope is a strategy.” Hope coupled with action is the way our collective must come together to meet this moment. |

The Ms. Foundation for Women directly supports local and grassroots leaders and organizations in 18 states across the country, in the places where protected access to abortion and critical reproductive healthcare has already been erased. Our grantee partners are already leading but more is asked of them every day as the loss of these protections becomes reality.
