I’ll be honest with you. I never thought this is how it’d go.

When Gabby and I got married, I never thought this is the way things would turn out.

I never thought I’d run for public office. She was the elected official in the family, and on the International Space Station, I was about as far from Congress as you can get.

I never thought more than 1 million people would contribute and volunteer to help elect me.

And I never thought that I’d need to ask supporters to do more than that to defend this seat.

But I need to ask you to do more. We are facing millions of dollars in attack ads, the former president says beating me is the first step to “taking back America,” and we’ve missed a few fundraising goals in a row already this year.

So, please. You may not have woken up this morning thinking you’d make a donation to my re-election, but I really need you if we’re going to hold this seat.

I’m coming to you because I know that as a supporter of the Democratic Party of Georgia, you know how important it is that we hold control of the Senate.

Can you PLEASE split a contribution between my campaign and the Democratic Party of Georgia before our first June fundraising drive ends at midnight to help hold the Senate?
