Hello CCLers,
If you will be in DC for the conference, I invite you to join my
ecstatic dance event on Sunday, June 12 from 7:30 to 9pm! It
is steps away from the Omni hotel and a great way to spend some
time together that involves music and physical activity.
Description
Location: Woodley Park Yoga, 2625 Connecticut Avenue,
NW Washington, DC 20008
Ecstatic dance is an interactive immersive experience where
everyone is invited to free expression through dance and movement.
You can move however you feel like, get out of your head, and get
in touch with your body. We are encouraged to surrender and let go
of judgement.
The event begins with an opening circle where we get to know each
other and share intentions, followed by an hour playlist, and a
closing circle to share reflections. During the dance there is no
talking. This helps us to connect with our bodies and each other
nonverbally. The result is often a trance-like and ecstatic
experience.

7:30pm Opening circle
7:45pm Playlist
9:00pm Closing circle
Payment of $20 goes to our event host Woodley Park Yoga! Please

unless event is cancelled. Please pay in advance.
No alcohol or food at this event. Please bring your own water
bottle and wear loose light clothing. Expect to get sweaty!
Covid guidelines: Please be fully vaccinated to attend this event.
Since rates are going up in DC, masking is highly encouraged.
