John --
Tomorrow, June 7th, is election day. Right now citywide turnout
is low (about 20%), and I need you to turn in your ballot ASAP! You
can still vote by
mail, at a voting
center, or at your polling
place on election day. Every vote counts!
I am
proud to have placed Proposition D, Victims
and Witness Rights, on the ballot. I firmly believe that
this measure will make a profound impact on the state of public safety
in San Francisco. Please read John Marble's incredible testimonial:
"As
a Survivor of Domestic Violence, I believe San Francisco needs to vote
'Yes' on Prop. D"
Also, I'm a strong
supporter of Proposition H to recall the District
Attorney. We need a District Attorney who will put aside
ideology, who will seek to listen rather than to be heard, and who
will take the problems we face seriously. We need results, not
just excuses and slogans. The District Attorney claims to be a
progressive prosecutor, but his approach is taking us
backwards. He has abandoned victims when they need our
support the most.
Additionally, several state offices are up
for election,
including the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Board of Equalization
Member, Senator, and Assembly Members. Locally, David Chiu is running
for City Attorney and there are eight local ballot measures.
Your
voice matters! Vote!
