We set out our plan to end rough sleeping

Rough sleeping is at an all time high, and we need to take bold action to end it.

This Conservative government has failed to build enough social housing and abolish no-fault evictions. They’ve actively contributed to our homelessness crisis by freezing benefits in 2015, introducing the two-child limit in 2017 and rolling out Universal Credit despite experts advising them not to.

And they have blocked Lib Dem efforts to repeal the Vagrancy Act, which criminalises people just for sleeping rough.

This is a disgrace. We need to do better by the most vulnerable in our society.

Our manifesto is officially the most progressive

A report by the Resolution Foundation found our policies would mean 600,000 fewer children in poverty, making it the most progressive of the three main parties. We’ve always put a fairer society at the heart of our policy. We’re ready to tackle inequality - we’ll:

• Stop Brexit and invest the £50 billion Remain Bonus in our public services and tackling inequality.
• Properly fund our mental health services so they’re there when they’re needed most.
• Lift 3.5 million households out of fuel poverty as we take on the climate emergency.
• Transform our education system to give every child the best start in life.
• Build a fairer economy, introducing £10,000 Skills Wallets to make sure no-one is left behind by our changing job market.

The problem with Boris Johnson...

In a speech on Thursday, Jo said “Boris Johnson only cares about Boris Johnson. 

And he will do whatever it takes, sacrifice whatever is needed, to get what he wants.

This is a man who decided which side to support in the EU referendum by game-playing whether it would get him the keys to Number 10."

This is the election of our lifetimes. In this election, you can use your vote to stop this Brexit chaos and demand better for our public services. The Liberal Democrats are the biggest, strongest Remain party - and the only party who can take seats off the Conservatives and stop Boris.
