In 2020, over 5,200 people in Georgia were denied a concealed carry permit due to prior criminal records, outstanding arrests, mental health flags, or domestic violence charges.

Brian Kemp refused to even acknowledge this issue and passed a law eliminating the permitting process for carrying a gun in public.

Now, because of Kemp’s permit-less carry law, people like those individuals deemed unfit to carry a firearm by a commonsense background check process can now carry hidden, loaded guns in public.
