Join Democratic Candidates Monday At Noon

 

Show Your Support for Their Commitment and Hard Work

 

A strong field of Democratic candidates plans to show up at the Board of Elections at noon tomorrow to file to run for office in 2020. The filing period runs through December 20, but several plan to file at the first opportunity. Candidate supporters plan to attend the informal gathering, and the event will provide a chance for citizens to meet current office holders and community leaders vying for elected positions. Among the candidates expected are: 

• Deb Butler - NC HD 18
• Adam Ericson - NC HD 20
• Jonathan Barfield - County Commission
• Leslie Cohen - County Commission
• Clayton Hamerski - Register of Deeds
• Stephanie Walker - Board of Education
• Harper Peterson - NC SD 8 (will attend, but filing later)

Yard signs, t-shirts, buttons and other campaign paraphernalia are all encouraged. Members of the press are expected to cover the event.
